Type 2 Asbestos Survey Will Guard You and Building Occupants from Illnesses!
If you’re building was constructed before 1986, you’re building may contain asbestos contaminated materials or ACMs. Most buildings constructed between 1950 and 1980 have asbestos in them. And after 1986, asbestos was banned totally as a construction material and was limited to some other purposes like ingredients for water and electrical pipes. Asbestos also was included as a cement ingredient until it was totally banned in 1999. These are the targets of type 2 asbestos survey. There are other two surveys which are also used for detecting asbestos. The type one survey is just an ocular inspection. If there are materials which are suspect to contain asbestos, the inspection team may perform type 2 asbestos inspections right away. If the condition is a little difficult they’ll come back for a more thorough inspection. Type 3 inspections are for buildings about to be demolished. The presence of asbestos is determined in order for the dismantling team to take precautionary actions to avoid contamination.
